Ask Dr.Nahil 2

It's time for Ask Dr.Nahil with your host,Dr.Nahil.
Today,we have 4 questions,so,let's begin

The young Noah asked:
Why did John K. take off his name of Nurse Stimpy ?
John take off his name of this episode because he found it UGLY !
He didn't liked what the animators did of the episode,so,he decided to be credited as Raymond Spum.

Liam,again asked:
Is it true that Son of Stimpy was made to prove an emotional story could be done so they could make a movie ?
Well,i really don't know,Son of Stimpy was created because Vanessa Coffey wanted more dramatic and sad episodes,so,Coffey and Spumco made a deal,if Spumco made Son of Stimpy,Nick would allowed them to make more gross and weird episodes.
But,what i know is a Ren & Stimpy movie was in the works.Fox made a deal with Nick to make Nicktoons-based movies, one, based on Doug, the other based on Rugrats and the last based on Ren & Stimpy, but, when Paramount bought Nickelodeon, the deal expired. If Doug & Rugrats had their own movies,Ren & Stimpy never had their adventures on the big screen.

Here's Tristan and he asked:
How does the Log song came out to be ?
The creator,song-writer,storyboard artist and director of the famous Log commercial is Bob Camp.He based the song on a old Slinky commercial from the 60's

And here's Hdittus who asked:
Why Milkman Stimpy was the logo of Games Animations ?

The drawing made by the director of Ren's Bitter Half,Mike Kim was Games' response to John Kricfalusi's comment about giving his unfinished episodes to his former colleagues as like giving "an unedited cartoon to the milkman and have him finish it for ya".

And voilà,see you next week for a new episode of Ask Dr.Nahil !

Ask Dr.Nahil 1

                                It's time for Ask Dr.Nahil,with your host,Dr.Nahil
Ask Dr.Nahil is a little section of the blog where you can ask all sorts of questions about Ren & Stimpy. You can ask questions on the comments below or on my Twitter: @NahilTheR
Today,we have 4 questions ,so,let's begin !!!
Here's a question from the young Liam, from Canada:
Why exactly was John K fired?
There's a lot of reasons about why John K. was fired, the banned episode,Man's Best Friend,of course, but, also, missed deadlines,a lot of tensions between Nickelodeon and John K.,etc...
And now,a question from Tristan, from France:
How much a R&S ep cost?
During the Spümcø run,a Ren & Stimpy 22-minute long episode cost $6,000,000 !!!
And now,here's DD,somewhere,and he asked:
How long did it take to make a single episode?
A single episode of Ren & Stimpy requires 30 weeks !!!
And here's a question Rick,from Planet Mars:
What inspired Stimpy ?
The main inspiration of Stimpy's design was the cats of a Bob Clampett cartoon,A Gruesome Twosome. His voice was,of course, inspired by Larry Fine, from the Three Stooges.
And that's it !! See you next week for a new episode of Ask Dr.Nahil and tomorrow for the first article of Eediots: The Men Behind Ren & Stimpy about the creation of Ren & Stimpy.

Introduction

The Ren & Stimpy Show is one of the most influential cartoons ever.Who doesn't know the crazy adventures of the psychotic chihuahua,Ren Höek and his eediot feline pal,Stimpson "Stimpy" J.Cat ?
Created by John Kricfalusi, this show was first aired the August,11th 1991 on Nickelodeon and was the third Nicktoon after Doug and Rugrats.
Ren & Stimpy was a big revolution in the animation industry.
When cartoons were basically big toys commercials, like Care Bears,Transformers or Ninja Turtles,Ren & Stimpy was something completely different and new and helped to create the "creator-driven cartoons", or cartoons created by cartoonists, and not by greedy TV executives
Without Ren & Stimpy,shows like Rocko's Modern Life,Beavis & Butt-Head,Dexter's Laboratory,Cow & Chicken,the Powerpuff Girls,Space Goofs,SpongeBob SquarePants or Oggy and the Cockroaches would probably never existed !!!
This year is the 25th anniversary of Ren & Stimpy,so,for celebrate this big event,i decided to create this blog.
Stay Tuned for fun facts, production drawings, and more...
